The Secure Records Solutions brand is Green, and we're committed to reflecting that in our practices. We deal with a lot of paper - from the millions of files we store and shred to the copies we make in our office space. Our Commitment:
- We've invested in fuel-efficient vehicles that securely transport your records. Our fuel-efficiency has more than doubled since we made that decision.
- When we renovated our new, state-of-the-art records center, we made a few changes specifically designed to make our operation "greener". Among those changes, we increased the insulation in our building to reduce the use of our HVAC unit and our overall energy usage. We installed an energy-efficient hot water heater. We removed the old lights in our facility and replaced them with the newest high-efficiency florescent bulbs we could find. In addition to this, we installed motion-detection sensors that keep our lights off in all parts of the records center where we don't immediately need them.
- Our office prints on both sides of the paper we use, and we think twice before printing. Did you know that the two most printed documents are emails and web pages? We try to email instead of print whenever we're able.
- We recycle 100% of the paper we securely shred for our clients. After shredding that paper, we have it pulped and emulsified before it re-enters the paper market for reuse.
- We go through a lot of boxes - once they're worn out, we recycle them too.
